Sarah Wynn, BSc, MSc, PhD
Sarah Wynn PhD is CEO of Unique, a charity whose mission is to inform, support and alleviate the isolation of anyone affected by a rare chromosome disorder, copy number variant or single gene disorder associated with learning disability/developmental delay and to raise public awareness. She is also the editor of the Unique website.
In her role CEO she raises awareness of rare chromosome and gene disorders at all levels, and sits on a number of boards, including the NHS Genomics Clinical Reference Group (CRG), the Joint Committee on Genomics in Medicine and am on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Manchester Rare Conditions Centre and Rare Disease Hong Kong.
She is also a Trustee for RareMinds and the Adelphi Genetics Forum.
Her background includes: BSc(Hons) – Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Molecular Pathology, MSc – Master of Science degree in Medical Genetics, PhD – Doctor of Philosophy degree in Genetics, DIC – Diploma of Imperial College in Genetics, and MRSB – Member of the Royal Society of Biology
